50 followers?...pinch me I think I am dreaming!

I am pleased and honoured that I have reached the 50 milestone...of followers.
I asked in an earlier post for some ideas for a gift-away...and the first blog I discovered was LPC @ privilege and she suggested something Canadian...spa related and foodstuffs....so I have taken note.
If perchance you have not yet visited her blog...GO NOW!
Do Not Pass Go or Collect $200 dollars!
She is a HIGH WASP and has a firm grasp on the monied side of society....and she lets us glimpse through the crack in the door what her Artsy Cousin,  Grande Dame and Sturdy Gal are wearing and how they are comporting themselves through their daily round.

Here's what I've come up with...

Chocolates from Terry's of Denman Island, B.C.
Gardeners Products by Upper Canada Soap from Ontario-
Protective Day Cream with Natural Mineral Defense  in Sunkissed Citrus and Intensive Therapy Hand Cream in Herbal Mint...
and something personal...a gently worn artist designed sterling silver bangle.
Terry's chocolate bars...Gardener's creams...and a sterling bangle.
 ($80 Canadian)
I'll ship anywhere...

Simply Dark, Razzle Dazzle, and Toasted Hazelnut.

Canadian all the way!

Sterling bangle...etched inside and out...gently worn by the Hostess!

I am hoping that you will become a follower and take a few minutes and leave a comment for 1 chance...
post it on your blog or sidebar...for another....
and a third...
I'd like to know from your personal experience what you appreciate in a Hostess.

What teeny tiny details are paramount in your opinion?
I would like to be the Hostess with the Mostest!
Gift away ends...June 17th 2010

Good Luck!

hi leslie,

congrats on the 50!

the perfect hostess to me is genuine. not the best cook or decorator or anything like that. when i feel someone genuinely wants me to be in their home, there is no greater compliment.

Good Morning Leslie and congratulations on 50! I don't always comment but I do enjoy checking in and seeing what wonderful things you have to say and are doing. I really appreciate that you take the time and leave me such thoughtful comments. It's what makes this blogging experience such a positive one.

I wanted to tell you also how moved I was with the Lost Generation video. I had goosebumps and made my children watch it!

Have a lovely day - you are a generous and welcoming hostess...

I am a follower of your blog, naturally, but some mysterious way I found only the first part of my e-mail on your list of followers, without my picture. I hope that it will do. And btw., you are more than generous posting presents. Your site is a happy one to follow, no wonder you have so many fans. Congratulations!

Congratulations on 50 followers! Your blog is one of my favorites..I look for it every day.
A perfect hostess makes her guests feel special while making it seem like a pleasure and natural thing to do. It is a talent not everyone has, but I suspect one could develope.

Duchesse- That would be fun! The games are pretty intense right now and my hockey loving family are watching!
La Belette Rouge- Hooray for 51!
Deb-Thank you very much for the compliment and for taking the time to pop in and read my blog!

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog... I will not enter the giveaway because I am trying desperately to stay away from chocolate at the moment :) but I will leave my comment. The thing I appreciate most in a hostess is when she pays full attention to all of her guests, is truly 'present' and has a good time. No one likes a stressed hostess!

I've been reading your blog for a bit now but hadn't commented or followed. So now you're up to 52 followers!

Daily Connoisseur-I agree about being a calm hostess...I think we've all experienced a frazzled one at some point! I hope you are feeling well...can't wait to meet baby!
Lillian-Welcome and thank you...good luck in the giveaway!

Hello!! For me, the perfect hostess is one who makes me feel as if I am not intruding on their space, privacy or time. It's the little touches that mean a lot. A bedside basket with maps of the area and lists of local attractions are nice. Fresh flowers are a must!!

jenndon-Those are great suggestions...I do the flowers already but maps and attractions I haven't done. Good luck on the giveaway!

Certainly, I've become a Follower! I was just venting a couple of days ago about my inability to find blogs that weren't white/shabby chic. Then I found you - somehow.

I'd like a closer look at your garden shed, yard & flower beds...I'm sure that the more I visit, the more I'll be inspired.

Gift from the Sea is one of my all-time favorite books, too. I reread it annually and gather used copies to give away to friends :) I've come across some unique formats!

I love your craftsman-style bungalow and decor, and I am terribly envious of the beautiful roses you've grown. They don't do well in the heat and humidity of Florida. I wish I were there to smell them, since I'm sure their perfume is as beautiful as they are!
