Wearable art....Debra Chambers and Linda Lundstrom Canadian designers.

Debra Chambers necklace

Each piece that Debra designs is one of a kind, you'll have the pleasure of wearing something that no one else will be wearing.
The pieces are beautifully crafted to add texture, colour and interest.
They speak to me and I feel arty and bohemian wearing them!
Her more delicate creations are very sophisticated and feminine.

I have a great jacket that I am planning to wear with this necklace.

Another well known Canadian designer.

Deconstruction zone!

A riot of textural detail.

Back detail.

Front accents.

Same tonal palette, shredded accents, texture and whimsy...I do love this Chanel!

Don't you just love wearing artistically designed items?
Maybe you design your own?
Do you have a favourite designer?

Love the necklace. My mother-in-law, an addicted knitter, wore very artsy sweaters of her own design. My daughter has a couple on her blog, Lucy Marmalade.

Hi Leslie,

I've never been a big fan of artsy type clothes but I love them on other people. So why don't you post a pic of you in that sweater!

I do love the Chanel suit though. BIG fan!

The necklace looks interesting. Is that you in the picture? I too feel a bit uncertain with some artsy clothes. I have usually seen them on young women. Your jacket, however, is not too artsy :)

Not my style at all but very beautiful none the less! In the fall there is an artist tour in this area and what some of them make with yarn is quite amazing!

I can't say I'm an admirer of Linda Lundstrom (Canadian though she is) and will post about my ambivalence re arty clothes (for me) next week. At the same time, when a woman wears them with verve and confidence, as you are, I am wholly admiring! Feel the same about Chanel. Not a matter of right or wrong, just 'who one is'. One of the things that fascinates me thees days is how I can be nuts about a look on someone else and realize it does not suit me.

I love that last Chanel item and the colour is perfect...I love collecting arty designs and am always on the lookout for something that suits me. Brooches and scarves are easy and fun. They can lift you right out of the doldrums and add a lovely spin to your day...a bounce in your step:) I think you have the right idea with what you have found here. To me it is all about balance and knowing what makes you feel good.

I love the idea of a few well-selected one-of-a-kind pieces. I tend to go for "minimalist artsy" if that makes any sense. Both the necklace and jacket really seem to suit your personality (or how you come across from your blog). I like that they kept that cardigan neutral and monochromatic; color with the competing patches of texture would have been overkill.
