My bags are packed...I'm ready to go!

Does your neck get chilled when you travel?
If I am sitting near the air conditioning or in a draft I get very cold and I find that very uncomfortable.
So when I travel I never leave home without my pashmina. It's long, wide and warm. I can wrap it as a shawl or double it over and wrap it around my neck. It takes up little room and can be thrown into my travel tote or draped on my shoulder.

one side is a soft beige

the other... cafe au lait

I have had this Pashmina for many years and it has given me great service.
I will be taking it with me when we visit Seattle.

I have packed the following pieces
as they can be
mixed and matched.

Sympli black jersey tunic dress and waterfall jacket
black leggings
black Sofft sandals
black MTNY ballerina flats
black Eileen Fisher capris
black Sympli Vneck sleeveless top
white Style My Way capris
2 white Joe tank tops
tan Eileen Fisher shrug/sweater
white Cut Loose casual cotton coat
black Sandwich packable rain coat
nightgown
lingerie
and
crystal and black artsy Debbie K necklace
white scarf with grey and black roses

( I have left room should I find something to buy!)

Here we are a few years back on our anniversary
we were going out for dinner when our lovely daughter captured this image.
I love to go away with my husband!
leaving town gives us a chance to reconnect without any distractions
there are no chores to be done
no meals to be cooked
and
no work related duties.

I will not be checking in as frequently while away
as I do not want to miss any opportunity to share in the fun
of exploring
one of our favourite spots in the Pacific Northwest
Seattle!

Enjoy your weekend!

Have a wonderful anniversary!
I'm always freezing when I travel, my pashmina looks like an old rag now, it's always scrunched up in my bag wherever i go.

Dear Hostess of the Humble Bungalow,
I wish you a wonderful journey, enjoy it! And you have wisely packed your suitcase - and a Pasmina is the absolute "Must" on flights, trains or busses (even in a cinema it can be very helpful, or folded on a seat when one sits outside on a slightly chilly evening).
So: have a good time!

Yes, pashmina, the comforting travelling companion! If I were ever to go on a Cunard cruise, the pashmina comes with me. The air conditioning on their ships is said to be very cold. Back in 2001 I put the hood from the hooded sweater over my head when we entered the dining room in the Cuban hotel, air conditioning blowing from every possible direction. I imagine a Champion-hoodie being not so appropriate when it comes to 5-star-service cruise liners. :-)
Are bold coloured pashimas an option?

Happy Anniversary - and have a great trip.
I never, ever travel without a pashmina for all of your reasons and one more......when the light is too bright, your seatmate too inquisitive or you just can't smile one more time....you can just pull it over your face. Sounds terribly anti-social, but on a long flight it's been a life-saver.

Have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself and Happy Anniversary. So nice to get away together with no distractions. Good idea too to take your lovely pashmina to ward off any cold draughts especially when travelling. xx
