Those are both gorgeous! I'll be wearing my brooches again this year thanks to the inspiration from your blog. I forgot about them for years! Mine are mostly colored stones or Bakelite. I bought a Kate Spade emerald colored glass brooch in a 1950's style round flower shape online but it is so big that I don't quite know what to do with it. Too big for the lapel. I think that's gorgeous and green is my favourite colour! I could see that on a shawl to anchor it in place or as a focal pint on a simple black dress. It's a real statement brooch. Wow!
