art glass objects d'art...and tech issues...

In the course of weeding and thinning inside the Bungalow
I have eyed up some keepers...
art glass objects that are of interest to me .

I love this wee owl
I think it is his expression that tugs at my heartstrings

Love All is a Tiffany paperweight

Heavy glass paperweight signed with a signature that is unknown to me
if you know who made this please let me know

For awhile I considered collecting paperweights
and then I heard a dreadful story about someone who had their display on a table by the window
and the sun streaming in had shone through one and set the house on fire.
I keep mine in the cabinet in the dining room away from the window.

I have had a surprise
I see that I have 100 followers
I am truly excited
Thank you for reading my blog and signing up
this is a cause for celebration
a milestone!

 and
at the same time
 a bit of a shock...
Blogger has alerted me to the fact that the storage space (Picasa Web Albums)
of my photos has maxed out!
I can purchase more space or I can delete images to free up some space.

I think I could have a hardcopy printed of my archival posts and then delete the oldest ones.

I am wondering what I need to do...
I will consult with my son who is in the tech industry
Any Bloggers have this experience?
What is your advice?

and again
thank you for following me
I'll get this little hiccup sorted and will proceed as necessary.

Hugs from the Hostess

Yes! That happened to me a few weeks ago. I paid the $5 and I was up and running in no time. I think you get 20 x's the amount of space once you pay, so you won't have to worry about it again for quite some time. At least that's how I understand it.

Congratulations on 100 followers, Leslie. You have a great blog, that's why we love to come back and see what you're up to.

And your owl is too adorable!

Yes! Congratulations on your 100 followers!

I ♥ the glass pieces you show here.

...and I have some questions re. picassa, too. If you delete from the web album, does that mean they come off the old blog posts?

I've never figured out where things are actually stored, etc. Hope you'll share what yo find out :)

Adrienne- I have a feeling that my images which are over 2,000 will be much more expensive than $5 but I will need to take action anyway.

Rebecca- As I understand it, once the images are removed from the album they are also removed from the blog...so proceed with caution...you can log into Picasa Blog Albums using your Blogger name and PW and edit or delete one or all....just remember when it's gone it's gone.

Congratulations on 100 followers, Hostess!!

I love your paperweights.

Inspired by you, I have decluttered my house and dropped off several large bags of goods at my local charity!

Dear Ms Leslie, You do appear quite fascinated by light - those paperweights reflect and refract light beautifully. Please don't lose any of your beautiful photographs. I always feel better when I read your posts and the photographs are such an important part of them. love Linda

Faux Fuchsia- I guess that's what I'll be doing too!

Linda in Chile- I am very much into images...so I must fix the tech issues asap...and thank you for the feedback :)

I love your little owl...so cute. Thank you also for the 'heads up on Picassa. Could you download some of you photos to a memory stick and then bring them back up for use when you want them...? I have been thinking aoout this problem too.

La Vie Quotidienne- I think if you remove the original photo it also disappears from the blog post(s) that it has been attached to...and you are left with a blank!

ida- The problem is partly me...I am not as tech savvy as I could be so it is learn as you go! Great to see the house ida!

Jeanne- I'll go over and see what she has to report, thank you.
