found in a thrift shop.
I bought this because of it's tilt.

Sweet peas are my favourite flower - i read your post about your mum below - it is really hard when they get older - you wrote it beautifully x

Your sweet peas and your roses look gorgeous in your imperfect glass vessel. And i love that paining...the colors, so pretty.
The 'inperfection' makes the glass even more attractive in my eyes.
I like the same effect in art, home decor or clothes, quirky draws the eye!
Interesting post. Ida
Love that glass - perfectly imperfect. We have similar pieces that my husband made while studying glass blowing in college. They're my favorites. I had never heard of Jude the Obscure roses - they are amazing. Thomas Hardy would be so proud. BTW, hope your mother is feeling better.
Your imperfect glass is the perfect vessel for your gorgeous flower arrangements. And the painting is just lovely. Did you do that? It is beautiful. Good luck with your mother, when we get to this stage in life (I think you and I may be close together in age) this is what happens. Go ahead and enjoy some butter on your toast and maybe have a glamorous cocktail tonight!
I think that this is your best painting yet. It's great!
Sunday Taylor- Yes I am the painter! I am a novice but enjoy the creative process.
La Vie Quotidienne- Oh thank you!
It's so nice that your love of flowers carries through from gardening, to arranging, and then painting. You really enjoy them to the fullest.
I just read your post about your mother, and I just wanted to say that I can remember that sinking feeling when I first noticed my mother slowing down. I lost her many years ago to cancer (she was a smoker), but at least you still have your mum around, and it seems like you enjoy her to the fullest, as well.
The vintage glass is cute and with the lopsided tilt it would display flowers at a nice angle I suspect.
Beautiful painting Hostess.
xx
What a lovely gift of expression you have - in words and paint.
Your roses always make me smile.
I love sweet peas and also Jude The Obscure roses. I can never manage to grow them well on The Farm, although I can grow other roses.
Take care.
At first, I did not even realize that the last picture is a painting - by you!
Well done : )!
