Family stuff...

I bought this little fellow to cheer up our Little Miss Isla who is ill.
I love his soft squishy body and those long ears just beg to be patted.
(I'd like one too!)

Both of the grandchildren have pneumonia and naturally I am worried.
They have been to the doctor and were sent for X-rays and are now on antibiotics.
I am trying to do what I can to help.

Making meals for them is easy and so that's what I am focusing on for now.

Two new books are waiting for me to peruse as I continue my research for the Paris trip.

It's difficult to focus right now though...my thoughts are elsewhere.

I'm still in my bathrobe and must get a move on...
I need to get out and go for my walk then go grocery shopping and keep my phone close by and wait to see if I am needed to help out today.

I hope that the antibiotics work fast and those two little ones are better asap.
There is nothing like illness to stop us in our tracks.

Do something nice for someone you love today....

So sorry that the little ones are ill, it is very worrisome. I know just how you feel. I hope that the antibiotics will have a fast effect and they will both be well soon. The little bunny is so cute!

That is very scary about your grand babies. I am glad to hear they are getting good medical care but oh, how stressful for you and your children!
I am sending my most healing and comforting thoughts your way. Please keep us posted on their conditions.

I will pray for your grandchildren...the bunny is so so cute. I want one too. It is so awefully scary when little ones are ill. You are doing so much just by being there for your family and able to bring meals, etc. I never had any help from extended family...so I know how valuable it is. I still remember when my lil Gracie had a fever over 105 for three days with a terrible flu. It was so scary. Love to you and yours. xxo

Hostess, is your husband going with you to Paris or are you going with a group? You may be interested in viewsfrommykitchensink blog. It's by an American in living in Paris due to her
husbands career. She takes the most beautiful pictures. I think this would give you some great ideas of places to visit in Paris. Regards, Kathleen

I am so sorry to hear about your wee ones. The little bunny is very cute and I'm sure that it will cheer them. I just spent the day in Paris with my visiting brother and sister-in-law. We visited the rue Cler ( Rick territory) and took the Batobus. They were so excited and the cost is minimal. (16 euros for a day of hopping off and on the boat or 18 euros for 2 days). Take care and all of my prayers for the wee ones.

Dear Hostess,

My eyes welled up reading about your worry for your little ones. May they be well soon.

Hope they get better soon. Ps after a round of antibiotics please make sure they are fed strong yoghurt or a dose of good bacteria as antibiotics kill everything and then people get sick again as their immunity is weakened due to no good flora balance in the stomach.

Keep us updated Hostess. I know what it is like--our youngest grandson has been hospitalized many times in the last three years. Those doctors are experienced and I am confident your little ones will recover quickly. Keep us in the loop!

So sorry to hear your little ones are so ill. I hope those antibiotics kick in quickly. Meanwhile, I'm amused to see that you bought the same Jellycat Bunny as I gave our Nola 3 or 4 years ago -- what a difference between hers and your new model. Nola's has had the full "Real" treatment, à la Velveteen Rabbit. . . .
