All is calm....all is bright...

The festive season is in full swing and for those of us who embrace family, friends and food we are happy.
We are content, that's it.
It's all we need.

Pepper is up to her tricks!

Perfection is unattainable and who really wants perfection?

I say let's dance and let the light shine on us as we weave our merry way....let's embrace the imperfect and accept life as it presents itself, foibles and all.

Joy is found everyday...

Hot water
soap
indoor heat
food in the fridge
friends calling by
music
a good book
greetings from afar
clean sheets
memories
candlelight
a surprise visit from the best of the best...
a red headed star
the sweetest little munchkin that ever graced the Humble Bungalow....
Isla!

We could never wish for anything better than to be in her company.

Happy Christmas!
I hope that you are all snug in the arms of those that you love and hold dear.

Best of the Season,
Hostess,
XO

I would LOVE to share an image of the sweetest little angel with you as she gently lays her head on our shoulders and says "Meow" to Pepper, opens our cupboards and plays with her toys but I promised her parents that I would not post her image here....
I respect their perogative...
you'll just have to use your imagination!

Trust me, I do know a beauty when I see one!

Blessings,
Hostess
XO

I stumbled on to your blog last evening from Trina's Country Farmhouse. I found myself wrapped up in a cozy blanket learning as I learned new facial tips and thoughts, recipes, (rum balls which my mom would make reach Christmas) and visions of you having treasured moments with your grandchild . . .

It was a delightful visit with you . . . thank you for the present . . .
Love, Lynne

Have a very Happy Christmas with your adorable granddaughter. And yes, joy is found in the smallest of things if you take the time to notice. Thanks for your wonderful blog.

Our Christmas Eve day is turning soon to the eve.
I chose the clean sheets and the hot water ( in the form of a shower ) from your Joy list. I also enjoy sitting by the fire with Morty resting at my feet, stretching and yawning. Going later on to the stable, and listening to the quiet noise the horses make as they eat their hay.
These are things that make me happy.
Enjoy yours!/m

Your list is divinely perfect! Thank you for sharing such joy, with your family and with your readers. May your joys multiply and glow with all the warmth you share with us. And may Pepper not wreak havoc on that tree!

So much for which to be thankful!
Merry Christmas to you and yours as you gather to celebrate.

Oooh, naughty Pepper!

Excellent list, Hostess. I think your chic life in your snug bungalow is the envy of all who struggle with wanting bigger and better things than their social circle. The "little" things in life are really big, big things that many people never have or never know to enjoy.

Dear Hostess,
Such a happy Christmas is a blessing!
We are very thankful, too.
As to publishing photos of the near and dear ones: I have a rigid posting interdiction for my son and daughter-in-law - which was especially hard at their wedding this year - they looked so beautiful! But I can understand them and your children: it is a protection in a world that does use data in more ways than we think of.
And of course we know that your Isla is beautiful and cute!
I wish you a Happy New Year! Britta
