we were very busy and it feels like a bit of a blur.
Monday started out with a visit from our darling grand daughter Isla.
We decorated an apron for her to wear.
It fits perfectly!
We ate comforting macaroni and cheese and nibbled on some grapes.
We needed to recharge as there were cupcakes baking in the oven.
Isla was definitely up to the job of decorating...
She got so good at it that she used both her hands at the same time!
Yummy
We read some books and made some fairy wands.
Our daughter, Isla's mom, brother, and baby sister arrived for a late lunch and a visit.
I went to see my RMT
she provided me some pain relief and more mobility to my "frozen shoulder."
We are still not totally sure what the final diagnosis might be...
I am on a wait list for an ultra sound.
I am on a wait list for an ultra sound.
There is a backlog, which I am told is 4-5 months!
I continue to be proactive and positive while I wait.
Mom, my sister and I walked the Esplanade and had a casual dinner at Mom's condo.
Walks have been sporadic due to winds and pouring rain.
This blue door reminded me of the blue doors and shutters that I saw in France.
It has almost been a year since I ventured off to Paris and Auvillar...
I have so many great memories of a fabulous trip.
Good friends came and stayed with us and we had a great visit.
They brought us a gorgeous bouquet of lilies.
I will take another picture when the buds all are in bloom and share it with you on Instagram.
The sun is shining and we are planning a day of pottering in the garden.
The lawn needs to be mowed, the edges trimmed and a few weeds need to be pulled.
After that I hope we can go to the nursery and peruse the new plants.
The weekend is going to be relatively quiet after such a busy week.
We have a few Easter treats to deliver to the grand children
darling daughter and I are going to a collectibles show
some easy meals are planned
I hope to find some time to read my book and walk with my husband along the seafront.
Best Wishes for a lovely Easter Weekend.

Hostess, Your posts are always so uplifting and positive! I can tell that you have a lot of fun with your granddaughter--and I love the idea of a fairy wand!
It sounds like you are going to have a very nice holiday weekend. Enjoy!
How fun to make cupcakes with your granddaughter! Happy Easter!
What a lovely day with Isla and very cute apron as a memory for her. I am wondering why it takes 4 months for an Ultra sound. Is this because of the Canadian Health Care system?
A very happy Easter weekend to you, thank you for your very sweet blog.
Lovely easter wishes back to you!! Oh what a pretty and sweet little apron on the little granddaughter! You do many of the same things i enjoy with our granddaughter! What a blessing grandchildren are. The cupcakes look yummy!
Happy Easter, Hostess!
Grandchildren are a blessing! I have a great granddaughter who is 7 and is at our house most of the week. We watch her while her mother works night shift. Together we bake, ride bikes, swim, (we have a pool) do crafts, shop, etc. I am 63 and retired. I pick her up from school, help her with homework and chaperone on class field trips. It keeps you busy and young having children around you.You don't get "stale" being involved with the younger generation.
Blessed Easter to All.
What lovely times with your pretty granddaughter, and her apron is adorable. I saw the cute message! Beautiful flowers for Easter, and have a lovely time at the Collectibles show. I love those. We have skyped with the grandsons in Canada while they open their Easter parcel from Australia - it was very sweet. Happy Easter Hostess.
Happy Easter, Hostess! Please be careful with your kitties around the lilies. All parts of a lily are poisonous to a cat, even the pollen, apparently!
Happy Easter Leslie...your granddaughter is adorable! I had a frozen shoulder once..it is so painful. I took Prednisone for another condition and the shoulder issue disappeared within days. I remember I couldn't put on my coat without help or use the ATM for months. I hope you get some relief soon...Blessings on your holiday.
Frozen shoulders are so painful! Have you considered pricing an ultrasound in specialty clinics in Seattle to speed up treatment? That's what Canadians do who live near the Michigan border. Happy Easter!
The joys of grandchildren! Your little one looked like she was having a grand time. And the apron is too cute! Happy Easter!
I always enjoy your posts, and frequently begin my morning with a cup of tea and a visit here. I find your tone and description of your day to day life a balm. Thank you!
So much fun with children at Easter! I love the blue doors and shutters of France. I hope that you find out more about your shoulder. Happy Easter!
Spending time with grandchildren has to be one of life's greatest treasures. It looks like you both had a wonderful time, and I love the apron. Happy Easter!
It sounds like you've had a wonderful week, and weekend planned. Beautiful photos of the lilies and your granddaughter is adorable.
Your flowers are beautiful and the cupcakes look yummy (and decorated so pretty). Happy Easter!
How nice to spend time with Isla. She is adorable in her new apron. Her cupcake decorating skills are great. She stands very tall and proud in her new apron. What a nice day you two had. Your bouquets are very pretty.
4-6 months wait for an ultrasound for your shoulder seems outrageous. You could consider a quick trip to the US, go to any large hospital emergency room and they would do an exam and ultrasound on the spot. I truly do not understand how people can be made to wait. Especially when there are unknowns and pain exists. I hope you can get to the bottom of this shoulder situation. Susan
She is so sweet and I love her enthusiasm! One cannot help but be joyful when the grandchildren are around!
Happy Easter to you Adrienne.
Sending you Easter wishes...
Our health care system is clogged with patients right now...so many of the baby boomers are aging and there seems to be a huge demand for diagnostics and services.
Thank you Beach Gypsy...we are very fortunate to be able to spend time with our grand children. They are a blessing indeed!
Happy Easter to you and your family Lorrie!
One of the women that I play bridge with has the same schedule with her grand children...twins, so it is "double the fun!."
Enjoy your weekend and Happy Easter.
The collectibles show was full of interesting things from the past...I did not find anything that I "needed" to buy...we have so much already that I have become quite selective.
Isn't SKYPE wonderful for staying connected with your family across the seas?
Many of our friends have family scattered all over the world and being able to "see" each other while chatting is so much better than telephone calls.
Susan,
Thank you! I have locked the lilies up in our bedroom for the time being...I never knew that they were a threat to the cats.
Oh I totally understand what you went through...it is not pleasant at all.
The RMT is really helping me with my shoulder...I have reduced pain and more range of motion. I have been going to see her once a week since my first physio appointment. Not inexpensive but really worth it...
Take care
We have heard stories of patients going south for all kinds of treatments.
I have another appointment with my GP and I am going to ask about paying privately for a diagnostic ultrasound.
It is pretty cute...she decorated more of it after she went home. I think she quite likes it too!
Why thank you...I appreciate your kind words Buffalo Gal.
Hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
The weather was a bit mixed up but the sun came out for a few hours and it is quite mild. How is your puppy?
I think I saw a picture on your IG page with your family hiking...looks like fun.
I am guessing that you had some Easter visitors!
Thank you Kathy...now if I could only send the heady fragrance of the lilies over the internet!
My husband and I each had a cupcake and they were very good!
Happy Easter!
I have heard that going to the ER does speed the process up...I am not one who likes to make "a fuss" but I am going back to chat with my GP to see if there is anything else that I can do. It must be so frustrating for patients that have to wait for a couple of years for hips and knees to be replaced...our health care system is vital.
I feel your pain, really as I had a frozen shoulder situation in both shoulders. I had 12 weeks of PT but what I found most helpful was deep tissue massage. I hope you get to a specialist soon, my very, very young Dr told me the situation would evidently unfreeze in up to 18 months, it was shorter that, it gradually improved then completely disappeared.

Your flowers and granddaughter are beautiful.
I have almost the same phone as you. It has the best sound. Too bad it's so heavy.
I only learned it myself a few weeks ago, when our vet clinic on Facebook posted a link to an article about it:

Scary stuff! Glad I could help spread the word. :)
Isla is absolutely adorable. You must have such fun with her!
