Honestly I cannot believe it 'cuz I still feel like a fat woman.
Probably because I have been overweight for soooo many years.
Weight Watchers guidelines suggest that I lose another 4 pounds.
If I do, I'll get the "golden key" with it a lifetime membership ~ which means that I can weigh in and attend meetings for free if I stay within 2 pounds of that weight.
Sounds like it is worth it so I will track on and continue on this journey.
I lit a candle and made a pot of Earl Grey Tea.
My OOTD
Johnston Scottish Cashmere sweater, a gift from Mr. HB.
Years ago (and wearing a size 10) the Christmas that he gave this to me.
Echo black and white scarf.
Dark Denim g21 skinny jeans.
Stuart Weitzman shoes...love these old stalwarts.
You might ask what big changes I have made to shed this weight.
Well besides walking everyday I am eating differently...
small amounts of lean protein and way more greens and fruits and veggies.
I celebrated by treating myself to a few non-food items...
I scored a Joules jacket in a smaller size at The Thrift Shop after my WW weigh in.
At Starbucks when I bought some coffee for Mr. HB they gave me a free coffee.
I found a dressy beaded vintage sweater.
Love the attention to detail in these vintage garments.
While I sat and sipped my tea I perused this fabulous cookbook and made notes of all the low calorie recipes.
What's not to love about a fundraising cookbook?
High Society Hostesses sharing their favourite recipes.
Well this Hostess could learn a thing or two from all these clever cooks.
The celebration menu:
Cocktail
(gin and soda with a wedge of lime)
Kale and vegetable salad with Paul Newman's Light Sesame Thai dressing
Rice
Wasabi Encrusted Halibut
(Whitewater Cooks)
Bon Apetit!

Hostess, maybe because you've shared this with us all along, somehow I feel proud of you like it was myself. Way to go. I hope you don't mind my sentiments. Enjoy your newfound health and well-being, and looking the way you wanted to in the mirror. All the best.
The mirror as you might remember is the "copycat mirror" of a post that you wrote a long time ago. Thank you Lisa, you are my mentor in so many ways, I owe you a debt of gratitude.

Congratulations, Hostess! What a great milestone to celebrate.
On another note - I love the Root Cellar. So much wonderful produce. And now, local meats!
Woo, congratulations! Well done - I knew you could do it! And you found "the" sweater! It's gorgeous - and what a lovely reward to yourself for reaching your goal. :)
Hello Hostess
I've been reading for a little while but haven't commented before, however I just wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss. That is super awesome, well done!
That vintage sweater is to die for, it looks absolutely gorgeous!
I didn't realise until a while ago that you live on the Island, we had the pleasure of visiting the Island in 2011 as part of a Canada/Alaska trip (we are from Australia and it was to celebrate my hubby's 60th birthday). Wow, what a beautiful part of the world. One of the highlights for me was Butchart Gardens, and wandering around Victoria. So beautiful!
Cheers Judy
Well done, Hostess!

Congratulations, congratulations. You made it sound so easy, but I know from my experience that it is not always so. I've decided to reread some of your posts that you've made on your journey to inspire mine. I'm a stress eater and will substitute inspirational posts for doughnuts when the going gets tough. And what a lovely way to celebrate- treating yourself to a tea party and using the best silver is so celebratory.
I've decided that I must fly to BC to visit the thrifts and consignments. Actually, a trip to your part of the world would be delightful vacation. I must give this some thought. Again congratulations on a hard-won achievement.
Congratulations Hostess on your success! I know from personal experience that it is not easy to lose weight. I have yet to conquer that challenge of keeping the weight off. Love your new sweater!
Wow, you look fabulous! A big congratulations to you. You are an inspiration in so many ways.
I love your blog and cannot wait each morning to open my iPad and read your posts. Thanks for a great start to my day.
I want to add my congratulations!
I have the cookbook you featured in this post--and have enjoyed the dishes I've made from its recipes.
The many happy consequences of weight loss are so clear in your post -- besides the obvious health benefits, your activity levels get higher and thus the endorphins. . . .and because you fit different sizes, there are more shopping choices (hence the fab thrift finds -- love both that jacket AND the vintage sweater) and despite what many think, the daily menu gets expanded because you're looking beyond the usual satisfations and finding goodness in vegetables and fruits and whole grains and lean proteins. Congratulations!
Congratulations! What a perfect day!
I have a similar jacket from L.L.Bean and it is so useful.
Congratulations Hostess, you look wonderful, and you obviously feel even better!
Way to go with your weight loss! Twenty five pounds is a pretty impressive number.
Nice thrift store finds. Like Kristien62 I'm thinking a vacation on the west coast would be fun and provide some shopping opportunities!
Congratulations Leslie!
You made it!!
Heartfelt congratulations, Hostess!! Well done.
Ah, I love that beaded cardigan !xx
Wonderful achievement. Congratulations! Love the scarf and jumper and of course your trademark bangles. Any chance you could post a full photo with fab hair and new figure. Maybe Mr HB could be your photographer.
So,so happy for you,well done.
Congratulations on your weight loss, Hostess! Enjoy and celebrate your success. Your blog is delightful!

Congratulations! I am so proud of you!
Congratulations!
I know how hard it is, I am stuck at the same over weight level of 25lbs and am trying very hard to lose it. Doing it very slowly now and am inspired by you.

Congratulations on reaching your weight loss goal! It has been inspiring following along on you journey. Hostess what do you use to keep your silver so beautiful? I have recently inherited some lovely silver trays and would like to keep them nice while I enjoy using them.
Congratulations! Great finds, too! Do you intend to keep going to meetings?
Thank you for commenting Judy!
So glad that you had a great time celebrating in our fair city. Nice to have a holiday and a cruise to mark a milestone birthday.
Please let me know if you do come for a visit. It would be fun to get together!
Thank you Bette...writing gives me great pleasure and it is doubly good if people read what I scribble down!
Which ones are your favourites?
Do email me if you plan a trip...would love to meet you!
I would not impose my hobby on my hubby!
He is far too busy at the firm these days.
I will attempt to take some better shots.
I was stuck there for over 10 years so baby steps Linda...and losing the weight slowly is better than a crash diet. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet and now that I have the tools I am so much more aware of what I need to eat and do to be healthier.
I do plan to keep going for the time being. I do not own a scale and I like the women that I have met in the group...there are many women of a certain age who are interesting and funny.
Love that menu! And congratulations again! Don't you love weight watchers! I love my meetings.
