Gently gently moving toward Fall.
Hydrangeas will fade to a sepia shade
will not be dead headed as they will be homes to pollinators
until next Spring.
Dewdrops decorate and cling to Jude the Obscure.
This stalwart David Austin Rose will continue to bloom well into winter.
Petals falling like snowflakes...
Fall cooking has commenced...
English Style
Roasted Potatoes
Peel and quarter potatoes
Boil for 5-6 minutes
drain in a colander and shake to roughen up the edges.
Cool
Heat oil to coat the bottom of a roasting pan at 400 degrees.
Add potatoes and coat in oil
Bake for an hour turning halfway.
Enjoy!
Dinner
breaded pork cutlets, roasty spuds and carrots, garden fresh yellow beans.
Bouillion based "faux" gravy.
Nom Nom Nom
Fall food.

White pumpkins, hydrangeas and pine cones.

The pictures are delightful especially since I live in the desert Southwest. There is no "Fall" in my neighborhood. The temps are still in the triple digits Fahrenheit. Miss the change of seasons!

Thank you for posting during the Covid-19 shut down. I live in Eastern Ontario and enjoy your photos from another part of our country. I only bought a merino tunic length sweater for the colder weather.

Triple digits does seem hot to us here in the PNW! We are enjoying sunny warming days around 18 degrees Celsius. Desert gardening must be quite different all that exotic cacti and native plants!

Covid diversions such as blog posts and Instagram have helped me stay sane!!! I remember how beautiful the autumnal shades are in Ontario and Quebec. We saw the gorgeous fall trees in the Gatineau area many years ago! A cozy sweater is a wise purchase!

Hello to Jude, the most beautiful of roses. I will have to try your roast potatoes because they look just so tempting. The porch looks very pretty, and I do enjoy the Fall decor, which is not done in Australia. My daughter in Ontario always has her porch and house seasonally decorated, which I enjoy at a distance. Meanwhile, I am plotting and planning my Christmas effort, where I try to make it look all snowy and white inside, as the heat of Summer comes upon us!
We are enjoying our spider webs on the balcony. Those spiders are so busy. The birds are coming to the seed bell that I just put out. Roasted vegetables and pork, turkey sausage and apples. I love the coziness of autumn.
Fall is definitely here in Ontario. The trees are absolutely marvelous, so colourful. I will be copying your potato recipe for sure. My (English) husband agrees! Just like Mum's... Your photos are really enjoyable.

The spiders are very active here right now...webs strung up all throughout the garden! They look so pretty with dewdrops clinging to them! Almost like pearl necklaces!
You have made your new deck space into a lovely oasis of beauty. Our front porch is a cozy spot for a cup of tea or coffee. It will be used for safe social visits with friends a lot this fall.

Wow your weather is so warm! You must still need to water your garden. We hand water the new roses and our potted plants but have not had rain in a few days so may need to use the sprinkler again.
