It's the Eve of the New Year today and I am pondering...
thinking on things that I can do to improve my health.
Walking more
perhaps going back to the Yoga studio
or branching out
by taking a Zumba class.
I've got a stack of books to read...
a knitting project on the needles
busy with the Strata Council as a new board member
plus the regular bridge games at the club.
My current book is a heart breaking story...
well written and very sad.
I recommend it very highly.
“New year—a new chapter, new verse, or just the same old story?
Ultimately we write it. The choice is ours.”
~ Alex Morritt ~
On this Eve I am saying farewell to 2019.
Taking with me into the New Year
lessons learned
places I have visited
experiences and memories
that
will enable me to welcome the days and weeks ahead
with an open mind and heart.
“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book,
waiting to be written.”

Happy New Year!
Did you finish Before We Were Yours? It was really a sad story. I just downloaded The Dutch House for the trip home. I've stopped making health resolutions because I don't follow through. I enjoy walking with a buddy or in a foreign city but I need to be a treadmill woman because rainy walks in a suburb just don't thrill me. I admire you for being on the Strata Council. I feel that we need new ways and ideas on our but I feel that I might become frustrated with 411 owners, ageing buildings and old ideas. As I get older, I am wary of New Years. I was looking for a quotation this morning as I was blogging. I'm not sure that we always get to write the story but we do get to choose our reaction to it. My youngest brother was diagnosed with both MS and Parkinson's this year. He is 58. He goes to yoga twice a day and did the Camino de Santiago the pilgrim way (no van or inns). A new year does present many possibilities, however. Perhaps, in the 2020, we can get together in Vancouver or Victoria. Happy 2020 to you and your family.
A very Happy New Year to you, I hope it is a wonderful one.
Sending you warm wishes for a healthy and happy New Year across The Salish Sea.
Happy and healthy 2020 wishes to you all the way to Ontario!
I finished the book this afternoon and wow is all I can say...I never knew this happened. I must be living under a big rock!!! I would love a treadmill but we don’t have a room for it.
The strata will be an interesting volunteer position and I hope to be able to contribute. It’s been quite a few years since I was on a board of directors and I need to get back up into volunteering. I thought about the food bank or a local charity but they have quite strict schedules and the strata work is much more flexible. I welcome the opportunity to meet up with you! Maybe we can meet sometime this spring when the weather is warmer?
Best wishes to you Adrienne! Hope your holidays were enjoyable.
Happy New Year to you Hostess.
Happy New Year to you Hostess. I hope 2020 brings you good health and happiness, and lots of new adventures in the Bungalow. In our house we also are looking at our diets, renewing fitness goals, and getting out there in the heat and walking! Your fish/welcome sign is just gorgeous.
Happy New Year to you Hostess! It sounds like you have an interesting and healthy year lined up, I look forward to following along. All my best to you and your family xxx
Happy and Healthy New Year to you and to us all. xo
Hope that 2020 is a fun filled and healthy new year for you.
The fish sign is not ours...we were at a resort and I captured the image as I thought it would be fun to make one sometime!
Happiness and Heath are great goals for 2020...will try to focus on both.
Your goals are similar to mine except for the temperatures and our torrential rains this week!
Best wishes to you and yours...hope that everyone has recovered from the flu.
Its a nasty bug this season...many people that we know are suffering the effects of it.
Twenty Twenty has a nice ring to it!
Hope it's a great one for you and your family.
