Generous and BFF

My BFF is a generous and thoughtful woman.
She has a family, works part time outside her lovely home and attends most events that her grand children are involved in.
She regularly visits and grocery shops for her 95 year old Mother who lives on her own.
My BFF also helps her husband in his business, does payroll and book keeping for another friend and yet she always makes time for her friends.

You know what they say...
if you want something done ask a busy person well this is so true of Suzanne.

She popped over the other day with a card and a gift.

Her generous and giving spirit radiates from within and adds to her beauty.

So Suzanne I wanted to take a moment, a small tribute to you and all that you have done for those around you...
be it the fresh flowers that you bring into the office and make the reception a more welcoming place
or the timely phone calls when someone is having troubles, you are a great listener
a trusted friend who can keep secrets who has her feet firmly planted on the ground and can offer sage advice.

I've known you since we were about 8 years old which makes our friendship about half a century young!
Can you believe it?
Yet we do not NEED to see each other all the time to keep our friendship healthy and strong.
Mr HB knows when we get on the phone it might be 15 minutes or more like an hour!
We often share the same thoughts, have similar taste and have purchased identical garments unbeknownst to each other and have had to say are you going to wear that top (dress/ pants/ jacket/sweater) tonight 'cuz if you are I'll wear something different!

Our husbands get along too which is great!

Suzanne, I feel so blessed to have you in my life.

Thank you for the years of friendship and I hope that we get to grow into old age together!

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

  1. You are very blessed to have such a thoughtful friend

  2. What a gift you are to one another!

  3. It's so lovely when friends do little things like that.

  4. A lovely tribute to your friend.

  5. Girlfriends have always been my rocks, in good times and bad. I too have been blessed with friends I've known since elementary school, high school, and my closest friend; since the first day of college.
We have never fought, or had any hard feelings between us; which is amazing to me now that I watch all those Real Housewives shows! lol

    1. I watched The Real Housewives of Vancouver and I have never ever seen so much nastiness, I think it must be scripted because I cannot believe that women could possibly be that mean to each other and still look themselves in the mirror every morning.

  6. Beautiful tribute to your friend, may you share many more enjoyable years.Ida

  7. Leslie,
only You can be so attentive.

  8. A lovely tribute; and to have one's mother living on her own at 95 is remarkable.

  9. Your BFF is a special person, and not alone - there are so many unsung female heroes who soldier on gracefully and thoughtfully caring for others. Women are so amazing. The great writer, Carol Shields, wrote about women who walk the malls in their sensible shoes sporting practical haircuts, shopping for their children and grandchildren , with no one paying them really any mind at all. Yet they're quite heroic in the impact of it all.

  10. I have a feeling that your friend feels much the same way about you Leslie.
    I think you're a special person too!

I just received a very unexpected, and beautiful brooch from a special person, and I will treasure it always ; )
