Autumn is a lovely time of year for enjoying the colours.
I wear mostly blacks and greys
so I can see here with this example of contrast
that a spot of colour
may be in order!
The pumpkin patch was full of families this Sunday.
Many local farmers grow pumpkins and they also offer hayrides, hot chocolate and some even have corn mazes.
I just love the field of orange pumpkins!
A sea of orange...
It is lovely when one discovers a magazine that has well written and informative articles.
one that has a balance of
fashion
style
travel
people
homes
gardens
Today I am cozying up in my newest linen scarf...
no pop of orange today
instead
I am wearing a red lipstick
which is helping to liven up my OOTD.
L'Oreal on the far left # 315 True Red
followed by
a spritz of Le Labo Rose 31 and I am ready.
Hope you have a great week!

I miss hayrack rides and pumpkin mania! You've made me homesick!
Good point about the splash of colour as we cover up in grey black olive and navy.
I think the pop of red lipstick is all you need. That scarf is great for you. I did order a sample of the rose 31 and it is wonderful! Not sure I can get myself to spend what it costs to purchase a full bottle, but the fragrance is heavenly. Thanks for the recommendation.
I wore my grey Chalet dress to school today. I wore fleur de lys earrings and my plum lipstick and I didn't feel like the "too old" t-l. Pumpkin books and witch stories this week. It seems like I haven't been away from school.
We drove by a pumpkin patch yesterday where lots of families were choosing just the right pumpkin for their jack-o-lanterns. I'm enjoying the colour of the leaves so much although many of them disappeared in the whirling wind over the weekend. Such a pretty scarf you are wearing.
Were you visiting, Mme., or are you back substituting?
Our little ones were out at the pumpkin patch, but we didn't know about it until too late -- I'd love to go for a fall drive through the orange-studded farm fields! Maybe this weekend....
I'm back at my old school as part-time librarian. The library has been closed with no books available to students. We have a serious teacher shortage. They offered me the job so I'm giving it a try until Christmas.
Fall color is beautiful. Really enjoying the red, orange and yellow. Let's not forget the hot spiced apple cider and apple pie, to die for. Delicious. Did you see Debra's blog "Dirt Simple"? OMG - very festive container plantings and unusual pumpkins. Winter is just around the corner. Makes me think about snowfall. Susan
Wow! That's a change of pace for you. The school is lucky to have you there. (I'd heard there is a shortage with the new gov't/new budget, etc. but didn't realize it was so deep even in the urban centres)
I loved going on field trips with the primary students to the pumpkin patch and going on the hayrides...everyone came back to school with a small pumpkin...the criteria being that they had to be able to carry it!
Even if it is a bolder lipstick or a scarf I think it does make a difference...although a strand of creamy pearls might illuminate a grey, black or navy palette adequately!
The lotion is also a lovely option and less expensive...I am also considering the shower gel...the scent has received oodles of compliments.
Your OOTD sounds lovely...just the right amount of oomph and undoubtably comfortable. I loved wearing a tunic over leggings for library work as there is so much lifting, bending and shelving to do.
I hope the staff have welcomed you with open arms....the library is the hub of the school and such an important part of lifelong learning.
Autumn is a lovely time of year...I'll miss the leaves when they all fall.
There is a fabulous Pharmasave in Royal Oak perhaps they carry the scarves in that location too.
A drive in the country when the sun is shining is one of my favourite Fall activities...stopping off at farm stands and perhaps savouring a coffee along the way...Mr. HB is at the wheel!
Oh I must pop over and read Deborah's post...
we are enjoying our juicy and crisp home grown apples too!
The pop of red lipstick changes everything,no?
Tha fall colours are so beautiful and it is so nice to drive to the country and pick your own pumpkin from the field
I'm looking for the really long and cosy sweater to wear with the leggings
Dottoressa
This sounds great,Madame
Do you enjoy working again?
Dottoressa
I agree the red or brighter lips are a statement on their own and they elevate any outfit...from all white to black.
Happy hunting for that cozy sweater.
You've really managed to nail the red lipstick issue! I still haven't found one that works for me. The linen scarf is just gorgeous, and so versatile...just perfect for enjoying the wonders of autumn! jen
