Hard workers...

There's a real hard working cleaning spray in The Humble Bungalow.
I use this dandy spray for everything
from the kitchen sink to getting stains out of clothes.

Did you notice that we have a new faucet?
Our previous Franke faucet from 1988 was replaced when we had a leaky pipe.
The plumber who came to the house was punctual, prompt and polite
AND he cleaned up all the mess too!

Janet's recent post on How to Wash Slip Covers reminded me of how much I use and love this cleaner.
We have white slip covered love seats in our family room
they require regular laundering...
if there is a stain or a spot I pre-treat ours with this Method cleaner.

Another product that I use a lot is Bon Ami...
I have written about it before and it works really well without harming the environment.

Do you have any favourite cleaning products?

I so agree that Method Cleaner is the best. It is the only cleaner I use on our baseboards. I spray them and one swipe with a paper towel and they come clean. Nothing else works like that.

I found I was allergic to Method cleaners. So I use Mrs. Meyers instead, but, Bon Ami, you bet.

I usually use Mrs Murphys and Comet. But I'll have to try Method.

Have not used Bon Ami for years..... must see if it is still on the shelves of the supermarket in Australia ..... and if it is - I will get it!

I also used the pink Method cleaner--but was not aware it could be used on clothing.

I used Bar Keeper's Friend when I need to do heavy duty learning on my stainless steel pots and pans.

Bon Ami is the best. I've been using it forever. It's nice to know that a natural cleaner like Method does the job. I like to use natural products. The only exceptions are bleach and grout cleaner! xo

Method makes wonderful products. This all-purpose cleaner is my favorite - it works so well and has such a nice, fresh fragrance. Nice new faucet.

I love that the Method cleaner doesn't streak. Comet is great for the really tough jobs.

I like Bar Keeper's Friend (which is very similar to Bon Ami). I also like a mixture of vinegar, water, and a little Dawn Dish Soap in a spray bottle - works wonders. I use it as a spray in the bath tub/tile. I also use it when cleaning toilets. Another product I absolutely love is ecloths. They are like Norwex microfiber cleaning cloths (just clean with water), but are much less expensive. I have both the regular cleaning cloths and the window cloths. I keep one in the shower to wipe down the shower after I use it (wish I could get my husband to follow my lead!).

Its a very versatile product...and one that I keep buying because it works!

I have used the Mrs. Meyer's cleaners...allergies are not fun but good for you to figure out what was causing your adverse reactions.

I used to use Comet until I discovered Bon Ami...I have bleach in the laundry room for really tough jobs but use it sparingly. The Method spray can be used on many different surfaces from windows to counters, tubs etc and slip covers and tee shirts with tomato stains!!!

Bon Ami requires a bit of "elbow grease" to clean our farmhouse sink but I look on it as a wee bit of exercise! It does not scratch and it also works on the LeCrueset pots. Good luck on your hunt for it.

I am not sure that I would use it on silk...or anything particularly delicate...I have used it on Tee shirts, our slip covers. sheets, my aprons as well as the regular household cleaning jobs.

I could use a great grout cleaner...I plan to try Bon Ami on a toothbrush as I noticed an area by our bathroom sink is looking like it needs to be freshened up.

Mine too...the faucet is much more modern than I set out to look for but it is sleek enough that it does not look too out of place.

The grapefruit Method cleaner is a very forgiving product...no streaking!
I tend to use it with a micro fibre cloth for extra oomph!

I have some of the bar keepers friend too...Dawn dish soap has a reputation for being "tough on grease!" I have some in a dispenser beside my kitchen sink.
Micro fibre cloths are good too and I have to keep reminding myself to never put them in the dryer or they are ruined!
We have shower curtains so they are constantly in rotation to keep them looking clean!

I always add Dettol to the my bucket when I am washing floors. It has such a fresh smell and disinfects as it cleans. I have a golden retriever and a cat so that is important!

Some products endure the test of time. My mother used Bon Ami when I was a child in the late 40's and early 50's. I have used some of the Method products. Nice faucet...it's a necessary item and it is nice when it is handsome also.

I found Bon Ami through you, and continue to use it. I do use different Method products but haven't on clothes...

Oh my Mom used Dettol when we were growing up and had dogs, rabbits and cats!

Bon Ami has a great reputation and when something works as well as it does it can withstand the test of time!

I also use the Method toilet bowl cleaner and have tried their wood and stainless products.

Please let me know if you like it.

I think I'm addicted to Method cleaners - I buy them because they work well and also because the various colours are beautiful!! I currently have blue in the bathroom, orange (clementine) in the kitchen, purple (french lavendar) waiting to be used and pink (pink grapefruit) waiting also. They're quite expensive here in the UK - £3.99 each but they last for ages and are cruelty free.

Keep on working, great job!

I tried the French Lavender spray...they are pretty and smell lovely too!
They are not cheap here either but worth the expense because they are so reliable.
