I have seen some snowdrops up in neighbouring gardens and I love their pure white blooms, so fresh and new.
I found a few images from the Humble Bungalow Garden archives to share with you today.
I feel energized and hopeful when I see these wee flowers...
Spring cannot be too far off when the snowdrops are blooming.
One cannot help but feel encouraged when the garden emerges
from its winter slumber.
Hellebores are hardy plants and they are stalwarts in January
bursting forth with colour.
Daffodils are soon to follow...
the flower vendors have oodles for sale and I am tempted to buy a few bunches.
I adore this black Hellebore with a spot of sunny yellow in the centre.
Isn't yellow the most cheery of all the colours?
When it comes to spring time flowers yellow blooms are a ray of sunshine.
The Magnolia will be flowering in a bit too...
the buds are plumping up.
One day I hope our Humble Bungalow will have masses of these snowdrops.
We have planted clumps of them and each year they multiply.

Oh those spring flowers. We are still covered in inches of snow and it will be some time before I see any signs of colour in my garden so please keep those pictures coming as they are so cheering.
I love snowdrops! They are a sign of renewal. I planted a lot of bulbs in my median section of the parking lot. Lots of green now but no flowers. Today is my 65th birthday. I become an OAP so I've got lunch with Maman and dinner with friends. More friends tomorrow night. I think that this will be a week-end of wine and calories. You laundry room is bright and crisp looking. I use a communal one but I have donated my ironing board and drying rack so that laundry can be done more efficiently. I don't like to use the dryer since it is hard on clothes and not environmentally friendly. I noticed in Munich that apartment complexes had outside drying yards. What a great idea! Have a "wonder-full" time with the wee ones.
You have picked one of my favorite bulbs to showcase...Leucojum or you call them Snowdrops. I think of them as plants suitable for a fairy garden - they are so charming. Yours are lovely indeed.

I'll try and keep that in mind Christy and as long as the weather warms we should have more blooms soon.

They are one of my favourites too...such a dainty plant but massed together they have make big impact. I love seeing them naturalized in the woody areas.
Good evening to you, we have been away for 3 weeks and when we returned I was thrilled to discover our snowdrops had peeked through the soil. I agree they are beautiful little flowers.
Helebores are a delight and daffodils are such a lovely flowering bulb. My favourite is Tete e Tete, they are small, but perfectly formed.
We have so many flowers to look forward to when Spring arrives.

A dinner party And grandchildren! What a nice weekend you will have. I adore snowdrops, they are just so delicate, sweet and pretty, and of course, they do not grow here (but I love to visit my daughter in Spring and enjoy her wonderful display). The laundry room is gorgeous, and a very generous size - it must be a joy to work in there.
I noticed this morning that snowdrops have peeped out in my garden, no blooms yet but the promise is there. Hopefully the weather will improve enough soon to venture in to the garden without either sinking or freezing. Roll on Spring. I'm another experiencing laundry room envy! I'll have to relish your photos.

Your flowers are so joyous! With the nasty winter you've endured I can imagine how hopeful it feels to see flowers pop up. I so wish I had a green thumb like you!!

I am very happy having a spacious place in which to iron, fold laundry and a place to workout with the kettle bells.
Oh and those 3 little ones were so much fun this past weekend...lots of cuddles.
Spring cannot be too far off now...we enjoyed a sunny clear day here today. Perfect for walking and peering over the fences to peek at the flowers that are emerging from their winter slumber.
Our weather has been very cold this year and after several mild winters that we became accustomed to, we were in for a bit of a shock.
I really don't feel like I have a green thumb...
Victoria is filled with beautiful and inspiring gardens and we have a fabulous garden club, well actually, we have several clubs and learning from the elders is so easy as they are so keen to share their experience and knowledge.
