Graphic Tees? Do you wear them?

We've been busy here in The Humble Bungalow
lots of things have kept me away from the computer.

Sunny days for long walks with friends
visits from the grandchildren
tidying up the garden
planting flowers.

There have been odd jobs, decluttering, repair projects and more...

Today the electrician was here installing some task lighting in the kitchen.
After he left I went to the mall to buy some new socks.
Why do socks wear out so fast?
I think its because I don't bulk buy socks and so they get worn a lot!

I bought new socks
(mission accomplished!)

Came home with a new walking/yoga/workout outfit.

Graphic tees are popular...
especially for women of a certain age!
I have been relucutant to get on the bandwagon...
until today when I spied this top.

What are your opinions on graphic tees?
Leave a comment and we can chat...

Capri Yoga pants

Karl Lagerfeld Tee

I may wear this with my jeans under a sweater or jacket.
The fabric is super soft and it is weighty enough that it skims the body rather than clinging like some fabrics tend to do.

You can see that the black and whites are still the main players in my wardrobe.
It's so difficult to change my stripes...

Zebras are so stylish!

Flip Flops
for our summer cruise.

Still looking for a bathing suit cover up...

Must close for now as I am off to the travel agent to pay the balance of our cruise.

Hope that you are well and finding small snippets of Joy in your daily round.

Nice T with a great sketch of Paris. My T's are pastels and jewel tones in cotton from LL Bean. Long sleeve, short sleeve and 3/4 length. Easy wash and wear with no ironing required. Your white tulips are wonderful. Mine are still only an inch above ground. Projects - always a nice Spring time refresh. Susan

Not a fan of graphic tees. Especially with the designer name on it.

I don't have any graphic tees, but yours is really cute. Remind us--where are you going on your cruise?

We have a long list of things to do right now. Old homes require maintenance and we try to focus on a few repairs each Spring and Summer.
I haven’t ironed a tee shirt in years!!!

You are probably with the majority of people who dislike logos...I know they are not considered chic or very tasteful but I am throwing caution to the wind and at my age I am not at all concerned.

We are sailing to Alaska with several family members! One special couple will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! We have been boating most of our lives but have never been on a large cruise ship so it will be interesting to see if we like it!

I like that t-shirt. I have one graphic t-shirt with a blue banyan tree on it. I wear it with my blue linen Cutloose pants. Your outfit is cute for walking or for hanging out. I've cruised to Alaska a few times because my mother-in-law did not want to fly anymore but she got a cab from Dundarave to the cruise ship terminal and we went to Alaska. You will love the trip. I just booked Monsieur L-B and I for Arizona at Christmas. We love the desert.

I really don't care for anything that has the name of the designer attached. I don't have any graphic tees but yours is certainly very cute with it's Paris theme.

When I saw the title, I thought, oh, never a graphic T-shirt. Already, I wear T-shirts only for working out. I don't even wear plain T-shirts (I like long or 3/4 sleeves, not regular short sleeves). But this one is tasteful, even with Karl's signature (count me in the anti-logo crowd). Also, it's your yoga/walking/working outfit, so that's an exception.
There are some who manage to pull off a graphic T without looking ridiculous. Patti on Not Dead Yet does it very well, but she really rocks a bohemian look, whereas the same clothes on me would make me look like a bag lady.
As fanciful shirts go, this one is very classy!

Some tees work and some can be a bit tacky. I like yours though and w/o the jeans and sandals will be cute in the summer.

In theory I like this look. In reality I'm so picky about the design on the shirt that this doesn't end up being a major part of my style. (as an example of how difficult I am to please in teeshirt design I once came back from Disneyworld without purchasing any despite looking at the approximately 5 million shirts they carry.)

I agree - graphic tees are popular - I haven’t been tempted to buy one but never say never ;)
You chose a good one.
Those flip flops are cute. If you (or your readers) need more arch support, I recommend flip flops by bionic or fitflop. I have both brands and can vouch for their comfort.
Thanks for posting

I like graphic tees on others, but not on me. The black and white design is better than most and will be a great piece for walking.
We went on a cruise to Alaska several years ago and enjoyed it very much, although there are a LOT of people on those ships. We liked walking around the ship for our exercise - it's sort of like being on a moving sidewalk!

What a wonderful tee.....how lucky you are to have access to a Karl Lagerfeld store!

I bet that cab ride was expensive! We had lunch in a fabulous seafood place in Dunderave...it was a few years ago but I remember being so impressed by the food.
Am wearing the graphic tee with my jeans and Chelsea boots this morning...laundry and a few errands are on the agenda.
Arizona sounds like a great winter getaway!

The tee is quite the departure for me! But its not really that earth shattering!
It reminds me of the time I had a pedicure and chose blue polish!

hostess of the humble bungalow said...

I am wearing it today as part of a regular daytime errand running, laundry day.
Its surprising to me too! I am usually so conservative...thinking of it as an adventure.
Getting outside my comfort zone feels ok especially when its just a simple Tee...
we walk a slippery slope don't we?

No one really looks my way so I think I am safe!!

Souvenir Tees never appeal to me either....a scarf is more my style!

Thank you for sharing the info about the supportive flip flops...comfort is so important.
Never Say Never! A great motto.

I am wondering how we will do with several thousand other people on the boat! The cruise lines must have everything planned so it is well organized...hope so!!

Unfortunately we don't have a Lagerfeld shop in town...Marshall's and The Bay carry the brand.

Like most, I have never worn a graphic tee. Yours is very stylish though. In my case, it’s probably because I don’t wear clothes with any patterns, except scarfs and shawls.
Looking forward to hearing about your cruise.

Oops meant vionic not bionic (although that could be a good shoe name too!)

I really like the design on that T, but, tell me. I have a bust, I wish I didn't. Does a design make a bust look bigger/draw the eye to it, or does it help to hide it?

I have a vintage Rolling Stones tee that I bought on Etsy. I love wearing it with jeans and a blazer. I think yours would look great under a jacket or cardigan.

OH YES ANYTHING DONE BY KARL gets MY VOTE!

I like stripes and polka dots...and am dabbling in a thrifted printed top that I found.
We are having some electrical work done here which is keeping me pretty close to home and not able to make plans to get together as we think we will be renovating our bedroom next!

hostess of the humble bungalow said...

Love it! Great word.

hostess of the humble bungalow said...

I am an ample gal too...not sure what the graphic Tee does to the bust?
I feel that a low V neck showing cleavage draws more attention...
I don't think anyone is looking at me anyways!

The Stones Tee sounds like a fun find!
My husband has a few Springsteen Tees from concerts that we attended over the years...I wore my KL Paris tee yesterday.

I have a Karl Lagerfeld nubby black and white tweed jacket which is very much in the style of Chanel...love it too!

Gorgeous flipflops ! And no, I personally don't wear graphic tee-shirts; I am much too self-conscious but I say, if you like them, rock them !

hostess of the humble bungalow said...

The flip flops caught my eye because they have a little sparkle at the toes!
Graphic tees can make a statement not all are suitable but I like this one.

Love graphic tees, especially when they are done in sequins! Why else have I lived so long - if not to enjoy some glitter?

SOUNDS WONDERFUL!

Ooh la la I love sparkly things like sequins! What fun!
