OOTD ~ What I wore and will soon will be wearing.

I tied one of Mother's scarves on to perk up this plain V neck top.
The scarf is a large lightweight square by Fraas.
The top is Wilfred from Aritzia.
Boyfriend jeans by NYDJ

Sad I know but no great lighting downstairs where the full length mirror is located.
I do plan to buy a free standing mirror if I ever find one that is not too expensive.
You can see my sterling bangles collection on display atop of the cabinet.

Darling daughter and I went shopping for her birthday gift and we were successful in finding her some super cute Citizen's of Humanity jeans at Aritzia.

After she shopped we cruised through the Bay looking at various items...
shoes, tops and tees and she found me something that has been on my "bucket list" for quite some time...
The classic tweed jacket that I can dress up or dress down.
Perfect colour too to go with my small curated wardrobe!

Ferragamo flats that darling daughter gave me for my birthday this year!
I am so happy with these shoes and they are so comfortable to wear!

Bangles

The jacket was on sale and deeply discounted...
it felt so wonderful to find something long wished for at a bargain price.

I had money left to go out for lunch the next day.
Hearty mushroom soup and a small slice of a baguette served with a simple salad.

I found this quote on Pinterest and feel it so very inspiring and appropriate for those who are dealing with dark days.

I received a lovely email from a reader recently
she is feeling low
so I would like to dedicate these words to her.

Life is full to the brim right now in The Humble Bungalow and this Easter Weekend we have oodles of plans...
I am carving out some "me time" with my favourite magazine
before the arrival of the house guests and the family brunch.

Hope your weekend has some fun packed into it...
thank you for stopping by The Humble Bungalow.

XO

Love your mum's scarf. It's so nice to be able to wear something of theirs that looks so today and not frumpy. I still wear scarves that belonged to my mum and to my grandma. It gives you such a lovely warm connected feeling.
Have a happy Easter.

Your mom's scarf looks lovely on you, and I'm sure you think of her when you wear it. The tweed jacket is beautiful and you'll get a lot of wear from it, I'm sure. It's fits so well into your wardrobe.
Family is coming for dinner this evening, and I'm taking a few minutes rest before beginning the next round of preparations.
Happy Easter, L.

Lovely jacket. Also enjoyed the photos in your last post. Is Henry a diminutive of Henrietta? Lisa

I originally only took one of mom's 100 scarves but had second thoughts and took 3 more! I figured they would not take up too much space in our small bungalow!
Happy Easter.

Growing more splendid sounds encouraging...
almost like we are not "quite there yet" and there is room for improvement.

I think we all love a bargain especially when we find something that fits and flatters us...
Hope that you had a lovely Easter weekend!

Thank you Ali....I just read a lovely book by Laura Bradbury...The Grape Escape. She and her husband have 4 rental properties in the Burgundy area of France. She has written several books on France. Have you read any of her books?

Yes mother daughter shopping is always fun!
Congratulations and I hope that you have oodles of fun with your soon to be DIL.
My local bookseller imports this magazine and many others from France and the UK...our local Chapters store does as well...perhaps if you do a google search you will be able to find a local agent selling them too.
