White Wednesday...published on Tuesday!

Do you remember when bloggers posted White themed posts on Wednesdays?
There were bloggers who also posted Wordless Wednesdays...

I have not been aware of either of these Wednesday themed posts of late...
have you? I know its only Tuesday but I am publishing this early as I have it ready ahead of time!

I was recently driving by on my way to get groceries
when I spied a few tables out on a lawn
there was a garage sale in full swing...
a parking spot was open out front
so I stopped to browse.

It's been ages since I've stopped at a garage sale.

The usual bits and bobs were on offer
books, jewelry, kitchen and household stuff and clothes.

These matte white pottery elephants caught my eye.
I think they are quite sweet.
I do love how they look like a happy family...
a trunk show of sorts.

Have you heard that it is good luck
if the elephant ornaments have their trunks pointed up in the air?
I was told that years ago...who knows?

I wasn't sure where I would find room for them
but I knew that I had to buy them and fortunately I had a toonie in my wallet!

The McCoy matte white basket weave jardiniere's that hold our kitchen utensils and wooden spoons have been serving us well over the years.

Alliums in the Humble Bungalow Garden

 my post would not be complete unless I shared a few more of our roses...
in keeping with the theme
these ones are white.

Climbing Iceberg Rose

Close up...

pure white, pretty and elegant.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by

Outstanding combo of your lovely elephants statuette and the weave white jardinieres. I love elephants and have a pair of bluish/grey alabaster elephants bought in Germany. Happy to say their trunks are upwards. Beautiful alliums and white iceberg roses! I'm a fan of your gardening skills and green thumb(s). Nothing can compete with Nature's pure, simple and delightful elegance. Thank you for the early White Wednesday post, read on Tuesday with a smile! Amelia.
~~~P.S. Apparently your blog and one other are the only two Canadian blogs I can comment on at the moment. Kind of a forced blessing in disguise. Limits my time on the computer. Hope I'm not carry any virus...LOL. On a serious note, virus' is a serious matter. Thank you! xxx
My, I think that you were really lucky to find these wonderful elephants at a yard sale. They are beautiful and look great with the other white pieces.
Those elephants are lovely, and they do look like a happy group. White roses are so beautiful. I'm enjoying mine these days, too. The garden is full of delights just now.
Love your elephant family - matte white (or actually any white) pottery is so beautiful. That view out the window in the first photograph is gorgeous!
We are so fortunate to have the sunshine and warmer days...and to be able to enjoy our gardens.
That first image is from our laundry room! I feel free to add a few whimsical pieces in that space as I spend a fair bit of time doing the laundry, folding it on the counter by the window and ironing...these wee things cheer me when I am doing the chores.
I’ve often wondered why perfume could not be created to exactly match the fragrance of certain roses. I know I would wear it!
I like how easy matte white, or whites in general can be mixed in with any decor. White orchids and white floral bouquets are my favourite.
I keep popping in - looking for more beautiful flowers... delight at every turn. I can even imagine the scent of the roses I recognize
