OOTD ~ September meet up with friends

Most days since Covid happened I have been wearing casual clothes. I work in the garden, go for walks and clean the house. Life is very quiet and simple around here.

I dressed up much more when I was going to my weekly bridge games, out for dinners and social gatherings with friends. Most of these things have been curtailed due to Covid. When we gather, we are mostly outdoors...walking, having coffee or dining outdoors.

A small group of friends get together regularly for a walk and have coffee or tea and perhaps a treat after we have walked.

This past week a reader mentioned that I had not posted many OOTD posts and it's true! My everyday work clothes are not that exciting to look at...I do put on make up and frequently wear my pearls but there is no one around to see them except the cats!

Here's what I wore on my walk and coffee meet up with friends.

OOTD
The white top, jeans and khaki jacket are by Eileen Fisher.
Scarf from My Stylish French Box
Vintage Bag by Due Fratelli

Hope that you are staying safe and being mindful of your interactions with others.
Masks are mandatory most indoor places here.
I plan to buy some fun ones soon.

I like your OOTD, very chic with the French scarf and beautiful bag. Like you, I am living in very casual clothing these days, and in fact had a few good things at the end of last Summer which have hardly been worn. Sudden cessation of all my usual comings and goings made a huge difference in dress code, as it has for many Australians. I will be returning to work at the Art Gallery in a few weeks, and look forward to putting on a dress and good shoes. What a stunning Fuchsia!

You are still very stylish even in your walking gear!

Your scarf and bag add the perfect chic note to your outfit. I'm looking forward to dressing up a wee bit more once school begins, although we've been told that we should be outdoors often with our students, and to dress appropriately for the weather. I'm on the lookout for some waterproof boots and a couple of pairs of casual bottoms - probably cords.
Stay well. Your fuschia is gorgeous.

Those eyeglasses are very becoming! A month into COVID isolation I started wearing my most colorful tops and bold jewelry every day. Made a wonderful improvement in my mood, even when only my husband sees me.

I try to dress up at least one day each week..pearls, scarves and perfume add a wee bit of luxury to my casual everyday outfits.
Lockdown has had a dramatic effect on our lifestyle...perhaps that is the understatement of the year! Good to hear that you are able to return to the gallery...I went to the library yesterday and got 3 books! It felt wonderful and safe as there were not too many people inside.

This is a social walking outfit one that is followed by tea or coffee in an outdoor cafe....not a super brisk walk! Those walks require athletic wear!!

Good luck with the return to school...our 3 grandchildren are returning Thursday.
I love any excuse to dress up these days...I try to put in more effort even when I run errands...it helps me feel better about myself.
New boots and cords sound like fun...perhaps a colourful rain slicker to add a pop of colour?

Our moods are definitely affected by isolation...adding your colourful tops and accessories sound like a fabulous way to elevate your days.
Stay well!

Oh I wish I had lost weight...no it’s the opposite! I have gained weight! It is all the cooking I have been doing, trying new recipes and baking a bit more often.
With the smoke and air quality advisory I am not walking or doing much gardening.
I love that new Totem caftan! How wonderful that you were sent it by the company!
Is it smokey where you live in California?
