~ Seasons Greetings ~
My Christmas Card to you...
Sending you warm wishes
peaceful thoughts
and
hope that you enjoy a wonderful festive season.
Take some time out to relax and breathe...
count your blessings.
Help someone less fortunate
surprise a busy clerk or a hard worker with a kind comment
perhaps volunteer to do a shift or donate to the local food bank.
There are so many things that we can do...
and if you find yourself in need I hope that you will be helped.
The reindeer votives are lit and are gathered together in the bowl...
I always think this Tapio Wirkkala Ultima Thule piece
looks like a frozen pond.
The quarter sawn oak arts and crafts shelf unit holds
our collection of matte green art pottery.
The wee wood tree on top was made by our clever grandson Henry!
Mom's festive silver baubles have found a place to shine.
Fresh mandarin oranges...and my journal.
Writing in a journal is a newish habit after many years of toying with the idea.
It's been helpful to track my weight and write down my thoughts...
The scale has been used more than usual ~ keeping my eyes on the end goal.
I feel much more disciplined and am very happy that I am seeing results.
Losing 14 pounds (as of today) meant my jeans needed to be replaced...
Fortunately I was able to quickly find 2 pairs of jeans...
one is a dark wash wide leg style by Spanx
the other is a straight leg medium wash...(see above)
Shopping is pretty much done, gifts are wrapped, and we're feeling relaxed.
I've been baking fruit loafs, shortbread and mince tarts...
(allowing myself the occasional treat)
The tins are full and gift packages will be given away to family and friends.
We will be celebrating Christmas quietly with our immediate family.
Thank you for popping by The Humble Bungalow Blog.
Hope that you have a wonderful Holiday.

Happy Christmas to you, Leslie! Your house is always so beautifully decorated - I love your matte green collection and that glass plate is gorgeous.
Wishing you and family, a peaceful and joyful Christmas x
Your wreath is beautiful, as is the “thing” in the first picture next to the little gold tree. It looks like an iceberg, but (knowing you), it is some kind of unique vase or candle holder.
We are (apparently) not decorating for the holiday as much as usual, which is comparatively not so much anyway. But I peeked at the back of the pantry and found some baking supplies I’d forgotten that I stockpiled in November, so much get yo baking in the next couple of days. I will enjoy sharing the bounty.
Wishing all peace and contentment, with joy overlaid.
14 pounds! You are an inspiration...I am needing to get back in shape. Not going to be easy - we leave on a cruise right after Christmas! Your home is beautiful - Merry Christmas and enjoy the quiet peace of the season!
Your decorations are so curated and elegant. Thank you for the lovely tour.
Happy/Merry Christmas 🎄
Your Christmas decor is charming and gives off such a calm and peaceful feeling. I wish you a wonderful holiday season. And congratulations on your weight loss. I know how difficult it can be. I’ve had to give up for awhile since the needle on the scale wasn’t moving.
Season's Greetings to you as well, Leslie. Thank you for continuing your blog and for all your wonderful content. Good for you on the weight loss!
Have a wonderful holiday!
Everything looks so lovely and festive. Your green art pottery is gorgeous, and so is the 'frozen pond' of reindeer. You look great, and the journal is a great idea. I have been writing a journal recently and find it a good exercise. I lost a lot of weight while moving house, and my pants are all falling down! Now to find time to either take them in or go shopping :) Merry Christmas to you.
Your home looks lovely and cozy.... congratulations on your health goals so far! Wishing you a Merry Christmas! Rita
