Loving Linen ~ OOTD ~ a new skirt

Naif
linen skirt
made in Canada

a whisper weight that will be very swishy
worn with a variety of tops and shoes

thinking of a white top with casual flip flops for a walk on the beach

OOTD
kicked it up a notch with my pearls
an Eileen Fisher tank top with Nanette Lapore cropped sweater
blue leather Rieker flats

smocked elastic waist with drawstring ties

So comfy and great for warm summer weather...
just waiting for it to warm up a few degrees!

Read this page turner in 2 days

Am already into this new book!
Such great writing and another riveting story set in Paris.

Hope that you are enjoying your weekend.

A gentle mist has just rolled in here bringing light rain...
an opportunity to stay indoors and read.
One of life's little luxuries.

What are you reading ?

Thank you for popping by The Humble Bungalow Blog.

  1. Your new skirt will be so great to wear throughout the summer. I love a swishy skirt on bare legs.
I recently read The Diamond Eye - what a page turner. Now I'm re-reading The Strawberry Thief, a Joanne Harris book that I read quite a few years ago. Enjoy your time at the cottage!

    1. I have been wearing the linen skirt and enjoying the lightweight softness. I read The Strawberry Thief and I think I have read all Joanne Harris's books. I also borrowed a French cookbook that she co-authored which was full of French recipes. You might enjoy it too! Hope you are having a great week.

You already know how much I enjoyed The Paris Apartment -- just finished reading Donna Leon's latest Commissario Brunetti mystery and am currently enjoying Real Estate, the 3rd volume in Deborah Levy's "living autobiography."

    1. I thought the latest Donna Leon book was one of the very best of the Brunetti series. And The Paris Apartment is on my holds list at the library

    2. I love Donna Leon's mystery series set in Venice...I can picture the characters so well now after reading almost all of her books in order...I must reserve a few more from the library! Have enjoyed seeing your paintings of Italy very much!

  3. I wanted to thank you for your reading suggestion "The Cazalet Chronicles". I love stories about generations of families and the ups and downs they go through. I started with the 2nd book then found the 1st one so I'm back to rereading the 2nd. Love the characters and the continuing story lines. Thanks.

    1. My husband is currently reading the second one in the series and I have been voraciously reading other books on WWll that feature strong female characters. When he is finished I will start it too...so many great books...we are so fortunate to have so many choices!

    1. The skirt was a fabulous find...I wasn't really looking for it but it looked like such a versatile piece that I pounced on it! Linen is probably my favourite fabric. Hope you are keeping well Margie.

  5. I have The Paris Apartment on my nightstand waiting, but first I have to finish Murder on the Brittany Shores. Obviously I am on a France reading theme!
The latter is the second book I've read by the author, and he paints such a nice picture of Brittany that it is calling to me.
