Isla was given the opportunity to choose three marbles when we went to the Antique Store on Pender Island.
This large blue one, another in green and a smaller blue one which she gave to her brother Henry.
Milada Huk from Renaissance Studios on Pender Island designs and makes jewellery using Swarovsky crystals.
This necklace caught Isla's eye...
it is called Fairy Garden.
Grammy was delighted when she saw how Isla swooned when she spied this piece so we bought it!
Grampa found this stone heart on Hamilton Beach near Port Browning.
Isla took it home.

We are on holidays so my blog posts may be sporadic!
~ Be Well and Be Kind ~
It sounds as though you are having a lovely time! And what a lot of great finds - plus your granddaughter has good taste!
ReplyDeleteI got to read "The Seagull" this week and really enjoyed it! I've watched the "Vera" series but for some reason had never read any of the books - I will go back and work my way through some of the other. I also picked up the Mitford Murders at the library but it's not holding my interest as much as I'd hoped. I think perhaps the fact that I've read so much about the Mitford sisters - and books by them - that I'm finding it difficult to have them as part of this fictional story.
Enjoy your vacation.
We are having a relaxing time and reading a LOT!
DeleteSome new books to share in a future post...take care Margie.
So good to see your artistic holiday snaps.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anna! I enjoy taking pictures with my IPhone.
DeleteOh, that Danish bird pin is stunning! You have found some great things this week and Isla fairy garden is a lovely piece of special jewellery for a little girl's collection. Pender Island seems to be the most magical place.
ReplyDeletePender is quite quaint in many ways...it encourages one to commune with nature and live simply.
DeleteAww what nice treasures from your holidays for you and your grand daughter.
ReplyDeleteI think the two new to mw blue pieces will go with my leaning towards a bluer wardrobe !
DeleteYou and Isla must have had a lot of fun together! Her fairy necklace is a treasure. The weather has been holiday perfect. Do you have another week at the Quarterdeck?
ReplyDeleteWe are in week 2 at Quarterdeck cottage and we have been reading a lot of books and eating simple meals...today we plan to go out for lunch...the first meal that we have not eaten at the cottage.
DeleteEnjoy your holiday.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Thank you Maria...we don't pack too much activity in any one day...it makes our time here much more relaxing.
DeleteSounds like another perfect Pender Island week! Such wonderful times you are having with your family. Thanks for sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteSuz from Vancouver
The two weeks are almost over and it always feels a wee bit sad when we have to pack up and leave...its the kind of restorative holiday that we crave from time to time.
DeleteI love all your treasures!
ReplyDeleteThe thrift shop finds are always fun! It amazes me what people here donate....many of them are treasures.
DeleteLOVELY ALL OF IT EVEN YOUR TOES!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a fresh pedicure now...a lovely gal in the Driftwood Centre does mani-pedis...my feet are looking much better today!
DeleteEnjoying the summer sun, sea, and sand. Nothing better. Nice finds. Sounds like you share interests with your grand daughter...walking the beach looking for treasures along the way and purchasing beautifully crafted jewelry. Sounds like perfection! Susan
ReplyDeleteI have found some amazing sea glass....and we went to the market at the Sea Star Winery where I saw some sea glass jewlery...it didn't tempt me though as I have enough.
