The company has been in business since 1862 and is located on the chic Rue Saint-Honore in Paris.
Their Rose fragrance is light, subtle and soft and is based on the Gallica Rose with notes of Rose Damascena. I feel very feminine when I wear it and it is perfect for daytime or anytime for that matter!
The gift set that I purchased consists of 50 ml shower gel, 50 ml body lotion and 100 ml of Rose "Fragrant Well being Water" was surprisingly affordable...
under $50.
Pretty pink packaging...
Do you love roses?
I am absolutely passionate about fragrant roses.
I'd rather have one bloom that is fragrant over dozens and dozens of non scented roses.
What scent do you wear?
Do you have a signature scent that you have worn for many years
or
do you like to mix it up and try new ones?
Thank you for stopping by The Humble Bungalow Blog.
Hope you have a lovely weekend and have time to stop and smell the roses!

What a lovely post and your last post featuring all of your beautiful roses was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love rose scents but they can be a bit over-whelming, this one sounds nice. My favorite fragrance currently is Thierry Mugler's Womanity. I have been searching for a signature perfume my whole adult life and have yet to find it.
Enjoy your roses!
This rose scent is very light and layered with the body lotion lasts much longer...
DeleteI don't like heavy fragrances, ones that announce themselves when you enter a room! Too intrusive!
Rose scent is so wonderful - I love wearing it, although I rarely wear fragrance any more because work is scent free, church is scent free, doctor/dentist/anyprofessional office is scent free. Natural scents are lovely - almond, rose, citrus - but it's hard to find them. Your new fragrance set looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteYou might try the essential oils mixed with a carrier oil...they have some at the Broadmead Pharmasave.
DeleteI’m curious about scent free and wondering why. I’ve not encountered it here in Australia.
DeleteHow pretty the pink! It is no surprise that you would love the scent of roses...This past fall/winter I found a one season fragrance that had overtones of tobacco that reminded me of my father's pipe tobacco before he quit smoking (back in the 60s). But my favorite fragrance is "Innis;" it is supposed to capture the Irish coast. It is light, fresh, almost linen-like, and hard to find in brick & mortar stores. Carol in VT
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Innis...sounds intriguing!
DeleteI just bought some Inis. The description given by "anonymous" sounded too good not to try!
DeleteYes, I love rose scents too! But somehow when it comes to my all time favorite it's always the classic Chanel No. 5. Love your blog!
Delete...I am back. I went to check out the rose scent and and found that Roger& Gallet also made a fig scent! I love fig fragrances and have been looking for a good one for a long time. I immediately ordered it. I will let you know if I like it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love Fig scented candles! Oh and please let me know what it is like.
DeleteLove the smell of Roses. I recently found a bar of Dr. Bonner's soap in Rose and loved it, but now I can no longer find it. Then I received a shower sponge with rose-scented soap and it's so nice to use. Would love to find a light, fresh rose scent for eau de toilette -- perhaps the RG should be on my radar.
ReplyDeleteDr. Bronners is fabulous...I like their lavender liquid soap.
DeleteIf you have a chance do test out the Roger and Gallet Rose...it is so light and lovely.
I’m currently wearing Rose by Paul Smith. It’s so light and summery, and also comes in pretty packaging. I must try the Roger and Gallet fragrance to compare. Clair x
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with the Paul Smith Rose scent...The Roger and Gallet Rose is very subtle.
DeleteI love the rose scent. Your roses are outstanding. Currently, I wear Chance by Channel. I tend to go through phases and switch things up, depending on the season and my mood. Susan
ReplyDeleteI tried a sample of Chance...its quite pretty. Its nice that there are so many fragrances out there to choose from especially for those of us who do not have a signature fragrance!
DeleteYour roses are beautiful! I love fragrant roses and, like you, would rather have one than a bunch of non fragrant roses.
ReplyDeleteI wear Jo Malone Red Roses. It is very light. I also like citrus fragrances and verbena.
Love seeing pictures of your beautiful home and garden. Thank you!

I have worn that Jo Malone scent too...it smells very much like one of our red roses in the garden. I once was given Jo's roses diffuser and used it in our home until it ran out.
DeleteThe Verbena scent is so fresh...and I like citrus too!
Roger & Gallet soaps are just beautiful... try to get one and see. We used to be able to buy this range in Australia but ... for some stupid reason they do not import their wonderful range here anymore :(
ReplyDeleteOh yes I have used their soap and they last a long time...lots of variety to choose from as well...I hope that you can find the R&G products online if they are not available in Australia.
DeleteI love rose fragrances and have just ordered a bottle of Roses Greedy by Mancera, however, my favourite rose perfume is Stella McCartney - the original formulation, the new one is dreadful.
ReplyDeleteI also love Fig based scents and adore Philosykos by Diptyque and Wild Fig and Cassis by Jo Malone which unfortunately has been discontinued. I managed to source a bottle from ebay and I use it very sparingly. 😊
I wonder why Stella's fragrance has been reformulated? This seems to happen to scents every so often...maybe its due to a shortage of ingredients?
DeleteI love Fig scented candles...and Diptyque make great products.
Reminds me of my childhood when everything was package just so!!
ReplyDeleteI had a pretty set of "Evening in Paris" when I was a teen...loved the cobalt blue bottles...I felt elegant and luxurious when I used them!!
DeleteShalimar and Miss Dior have been with me since I was a teenager.
ReplyDeleteslf
My Mother wore Shalimar for years and Chanel No. 5...
DeleteI try many scents...have not found a signature fragrance yet and I am 63 so probably won't ever settle on one!
In LA, fragrances are banned in so many places. I do tend to get a headache if someone is wearing a strong scent, but love the smell of a bunch of roses brought in from the garden.
ReplyDeleteThat is true here too...many public places have banned the use of scent.
DeleteThe rose scent by Roger and Gallet is ever so light...just enough not overpowering or offensive at all.
I live in an area where there are a lot of retirees. Sadly, as many people age, their sense of smell diminishes and you will find some people slop themselves with odor to the point where, when the 'sloppers' appear in public, everyone is gagging. No exaggeration. This is why SO MANY places now ask you to be fragrance free. Thankfully.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little and would ride the bus there were a few elderly women who wore Devon Violets and it was a very heavy scent..
DeleteAh, the smell of roses..... I recently was gifted some Weleda Rose shower stuff, and decided that I wanted to only wear rose. Well, of course. But, at a perfume sale, Estee Lauder's Beautiful was suggested as being great for me. Yes, it certainly is. On another note, roses for the rose lady (yourself)- how fitting
ReplyDeleteI have seen the Weleda rose products but had forgotten about them...thank you for remnding me about them.
DeleteMiss Dior, Absolutely Blooming is my favourite at the moment, a beautiful rose perfume. One of the best rose perfumes I've ever tried.
ReplyDeleteAnd Coco Chanel is a long time favourite
Ah! Another fan of rose fragrances...I must see if I can get a sample of that Dior perfume.
DeleteI, too, love roses and have several climbers that are just beautiful. Also love wearing it. I was twice gifted a bottle of "Joy" by Jean Patou... wonderful. My other favorite is straight carnation as an essential oil, it reminds me of my mother, she loved the little flower "sweet williams". Love your beautiful photos! Candi
