Au revoir...

The Hostess of The Humble Bungalow Blog is on vacation!

The adventure starts here...

I think I'm ready...

I'm taking the plunge to boldly go beyond my usual comfort zone...

I'm taking off...

I've sipped many cups of tea sitting here in the peace and quiet of the Humble Bungalow contemplating
this "once in a lifetime" adventure.

The Gardens here in Victoria are at their best in the Spring.
I'll miss visiting the glorious beauty of The Abkhazi Gardens...
but there will be The Tuileries...The Luxembourg Gardens and Versailles!
I hope to see The Rodin and Giverny and many more parks in Paris...

PARIS!
I cannot believe I will actually be in Paris.

I'll be nibbling on pastries...cheeses and sipping wine.

I'll be walking many many kilometers each day exploring and seeing the sights.

Springtime in Paris....

There will be beauty at every turn...
I will make it my goal to take note and capture these moments.

Being in the moment...present to receive nature's gifts.

Paying attention...
focusing.

It will be wonderful to be in the City of Light...
they say that there is a glow about Paris.

So dear readers and friends...
I'll say au revoir for now.

If all goes according to plan I'll be back in a few weeks.
They say that Paris changes you...
I cannot even imagine it.
But soon
I'll know.

  10. I will be very surprised if Paris changes you, but I'd be even more surprised if it didn't delight you. The light is something special, and the architecture is just beautiful. Have a wonderful time, soak it all in, and may this not be a trip of a lifetime but the first of as many as you want to take.

  18. :) have a fabulous trip! so happy to read your euphoria at embarking upon an adventure. You've worked hard to earn this and don't feel a bit guilty enjoying the most decadent moments. That's the only part of long travel I'm good at! value croissants at one point each! That'll really make the trip fab!
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. So happy for you!

  24. As Naomi said, I think that there are many, many people that are very excited for you and your anticipation is so palpable. If you see this in time, I just would give the same word of advice that I always do: take time. It is within the quieter moments that you will find Paris and it will find you. I promise. Have a wonderful time and Bonne Voyage!!!
