I'm appalled!

I use my slow cooker much more often now that I've gone back to teaching. It's a godsend to come home to dinner mostly prepared after a long day of dealing with Grade 8 and 9 students who I dearly enjoy, but find rather exhausting!

Your scarf is beautiful, Hostess. I feel better now. And would love to be included in the giveaway. My slow cooker gets little use, but I'd love to bring it out again to try something new for fall and winter. I have gained 12 pounds since going back to work when my daughter turned 15 months old and meal planning has been a weak point- I end up picking up unhealthy quick meals after long days. I feel too tired to think of meals most nights. I would love to make easy and ww friendly meals during the week using the cookbook. We have a lot of the grandmother's flowers in our garden, but your Jude the Obscure roses are so magnificent! Love all your pictures...flowers, the sea, your neighbors gardens, everything is so nicely described. My husband was looking in the dining room buffet Thanksgiving morning and spotted our original smaller old red slow-cooker from many years ago and wanted to know why I had him using our much larger one to cook his New England style beans on winter Saturdays? Just force of habit to get the newer one out....love my slow cooker! Lost some weight this year and trying to maintain, so would love to try out some new recipes, but, just very happy to read your blog. P.S.
