Cruising recap...The Long Weekend in May

The long weekend weather was given a favourable forecast so we took to the sea.

Snug and Cozy tied up at a little marina at Genoa Bay.

Mother's Day flowers made the trip.

Tasty Lime Margaritas on the deck of the cafe.

Floral lined lanes nearby made for some spectacular walks.

The bees were busy working in the hot sunshine.

Dinner plate sized tree peonies were in full bloom.

It was lovely to get away and relax in the peace and quiet.

Healthy meals, a comfy bunk, friends nearby, a good book.
Simple luxuries while aboard our small boat.
Feeling grateful and thankful as I write this post...
reflecting on all the good things in life.

I have some garden photos to share with you soon.

Until next time...
XO

A lovely getaway, and I really like that you brought your pretty flowers on to the boat. Spring is definitely arriving, and a bumble bee in a pink bloom is just right!

I know an island that would be a fun place to tie up for a weekend. I don't think it would be very quiet though. Especially on a Saturday.....

That sounds like a lovely, peaceful getaway. Being surrounded by nature and the ones you love, what more could one need ? (except that delicious Lime Margarita ! The icing on the cake ! )

That marina is so popular! We do love the market and will probably visit at least once this summer!

Looks like a perfect few days relaxing Leslie. Lime Margarita sounds good. Very refreshing! Thanks for sharing all the stunning photographs. We're travelling in Italy at the moment and have stayed on and driven by Lake Garda. I thought of you when as I watched the many people out on their boats! I saw a couple of beautiful wooden ones that reminded me of the one you used to have, but not as big. Hope you're having a good week.Take care.
