T.G.I.F.!

This week has been long and tedious and I am so looking forward to the weekend.

I am going to indulge in some good old fashioned bread
maybe buy some flowers and go for a massage.

I may even tackle reorganizing my wardrobe.

A stop at the Thrift store might be in order
to donate and to browse and see what might fill the void created by the purge!

Oh and The Golden Globes are on TV on Sunday...
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are the hosts
I love to see the red carpet fashions.

What plans have you got on your agenda?

Take care

Oh I hear you on the tedious long week. So glad it is Friday. Snow forecast for the lowermainland tomorrow. Maybe it will be a good day to stay in and sew. Looking forward to Golden Globes too - love seeing the fashions. Have a nice weekend

It might be a good weekend for making soup and snuggling by the fire, tho' your ideas all sound like fine ones. I'll have to consider......

Oh I wish we could watch the Golden Globes, I love looking at all of the glamourous women too.
Working on Sunday, mooching about on Saturday, that's about it.

Like you, I'm hoping to do some cooking and another round of closet organizing this weekend. We're also going to the symphony Saturday night, and it's a great program including Rossini's Barber of Seville overture, and some Saint-Saens and Debussy.

Is there a more perfect comfort food than fresh bread? Oooh, and a massage! Delightful and all the more so after your flu.

This is the first weekend in ages that I don't have to do all kinds of running around. I plan to get lots of work done tho, laundry, cleaning, closets etc.

Sounds like you will be all relaxed and ready to take on next week!

Bread and flowers? Yes!!! There should be a shop called that.

I just googled it. There is and it is in the UK.

Have a lovely weekend, Hostess. You deserve it!

Not too much here. We just got another dump of snow and our street is awful to drive on. Just hibernating at home!

So glad that you are feeling better. Last weekend we finally took down Christmas, so know I'm trying to think of a good arrangement form my entry way. On Sunday I'm going to a birthday party, it is family so it will be fun.

I hope you get a chance to relax. I will watch The Golden Globes and the second episode of Downton. Have a good weekend!

The Golden Globes- absolutely. Still taping Downton Abbey as I haven't finished Season 2 (received for Christmas.) Then, some fierce cleaning since I haven't indulged since New Year's (down with a flu-like illness.) Haven't seen the wee grandkids, either, since the holidays so I will have them for dinner Sunday. Aside from seeing the babies, I think I like your weekend better.

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me.
I may take your idea and dive into the closet a bit for a small clean out. It's amazing how frequently I can do it and always find more I don't need in there. I'll be watching Downton Abbey and the Golden Globes are always fun for the fashions.
Massage, flowers, bread...just add a lovely glass of wine and its heavenly. Enjoy!!

Looking forward to Sunday night - Golden Globes and DA. Would like to paint, but my studio is in an old hangar at a small airport, without insulation, and not sure I can stand the cold. It's been freezing in LA.

This weekend - the routines again. They keep my world going around : ).

I'm with mette. My routines keep me going, too. Feeling a tiny bit blue, rather unusual for me. Maybe it's the approaching 70 birthday? I'm healthy and generally all is well and lovely. And I have never minded much about my aging. So I'll stay with the feeling until it tells me what it is, I think. Meanwhile: a walk, some baking, a film tonight and nice dinner with darlingest. Oh yes, and a closet review. I think I need more color in my attire. Any thoughts? I'm a "soft summer", which means a bit of "soft autumn" as well. Rest up, Hostess.

It's a family weekend for me -- baby-sitting, visiting my mom and my sisters, having our daughters & families for dinner. . . .busy enough, but so restorative. Hope your weekend restores you as well -- and I'm sure the massage will go a long toward meeting that goal!

Yesterday went to look at some Dachie puppies...they were a creamy colour very cute, but sadly the colour is wrong for a dog that was bred to hunt Badgers.....prefer the original brindle/reddish brown.Lunch out with HB which we do every Saturday,Sunday is our estate day.

Hope you are feeling better, and had a relaxing weekend.Ida
