Santa Baby!

Christmas came early to The Humble Bungalow.
Santa has delivered some pretty nice gifts with the Hostess in mind...
Thank you Santa!
Our renovation is almost finished and the rest is mostly decorating and reorganizing the storage areas.

This has been what I have been living like for about 2 weeks....
it's not our usual bathroom look.

Welcome to the new Humble Bungalow workhorses
LG steam machines

They are heavy duty so I can wash our duvets and covers instead of sending them out.
They are lined in stainless steel and are very quiet.
Nothing like my ancient ones which sounded like a 747 landing!

We are so pleased so be able to start putting things back in order.
We'll work at this over the holidays in between hosting Christmas dinner and attending a few social events.

When all is in place I'll do a post on the various improvements.

It's a very busy time for me as I am sure it is for many of you
I have a few things left to purchase and wrap
and shop for all the food needed to put our annual Turkey dinner on the table.

So I must keep this post very brief
I need to pop by and check in with the blogs I follow as I have been offline for a couple of days.

Enjoy your weekend
Be calm and don't forget to smile.

Hostess
XO

So glad to hear from you - with all the intricacies of family life and aging parents I worry when a blog friend is away for a few days! Enjoy those new appliances - they'll make life a little easier!

Merry Christmas, Hostess! You will enjoy using those new machines - I have the same ones, just a year older. Have a wonderful, joy-filled celebration.

Your long wait was worth it! Such professional machines ready for action -
I know you´ll love the detailing of the downstairs, and land there every free minute.
But, do enjoy the Christmas as perfectly as you can.
Christmas comes only once a year, heh!!

Congratulations on the new washer/dryer! We've been keeping our ancient Maytag running with expensive repairs for the last few years, but are holding out to purchase something new until we remodel the kitchen and know what kind of space we'll have. Enjoy your celebrations, and Merry Christmas!

That first pic is fabulous, now I know where Santa goes to stay before he hits the sleigh!

Looking forward to more photos of the renovation - looks great so far! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hooray! But won't you want to move the machines over to the right so you have room to situate yourself in front for loading?

Merry Christmas Leslie! Your new laundry room looks great, and your tiles pairs so well with your machines. I think you'll love the LG's. At the risk of sounding crazy,I have five washer/dryer combos in my house, and have tried all of the high profile brands. My current favourites are Electrolux, and LG. My first thought after seeing your laundry room was; you have plenty of room for a mangle! lol.
Once I tried the Miele rotary iron I was hooked.

I have been quite busy with the festive season arrangements so blogging has taken a bit of a back seat while I tie up all the loose ends. I still have a few more things to accomplish before I can sit back and relax! Happy Holidays Pondside.

Mette,
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

I waited a long time too and when you do that remodel you'll be ready for new ones. It's funny how a major renovation forces us to re-evaluate what to keep and what to replace.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Merry Christmas and I hope that you have a wonderful holiday.

They were placed there by the installers and Mr. HB thinks we may move them a bit to the right.
I have had no trouble loading the washer but I have a small shelf unit that we may want to put close for storage of soap and stain removers that kind of thing.

Yes Kathy the door does open to the left.

Merry Christmas Kathy I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Wow that's a lot of appliances Duchess!
I have never tried a mangle. I am not a very big fan of ironing though...
perhaps it's the equipment that makes the job much more fun!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays Sue!
Will you be cooking the feast this year?
You do make and bake the most amazing foods.
I love your blog but seriously it should come with a caloric warning :-)
